Petronas Launches New Makan@Mesra Eatery at Kedai Mesra Stores
Not long after the launch of the Setel contactless payment app, Petronas Dagangan Berhad (PDB) is now launching the Makan@Mesra, a brand-new eatery located inside Kedai Mesras with most of its items priced below RM12.
With the introduction of Makan@Mesra, the Kedai Mesra will see an extended selection of food and refreshments which includes freshly-baked pastries, daily-prepared meals-to-go, desserts, and beverages. What's more, the recently redesigned Kedai Mesra now flaunts an open chiller, self-serve coffee machine, and microwave for added convenience.
“We piloted this concept at the Petronas Station Jalan Kolam Ayer in Ampang last year and saw an increasing demand for on-the-go food. With this proof of concept, we are confident to expand this further so that more customers get to enjoy the new retail experience at our stations,” said PDB, CEO and Managing Director, Azrul Osman Rani.
Makan@Mesra also boasts some new items in their menu, including beef and club sandwiches, salad with snow-white fish or smoked salmon, grilled chicken chop, “Kung Pao” chicken with rice, English trifle, bread-butter pudding, overnight oats, and mixed fruits, to name a few. All these items are locally sourced from local suppliers with a strong focus on quality and fresh ingredients.
In addition to the above, Makan@Mesra also features some local delights from local small-to-medium suppliers such as sparkling fresh juice from Tapping Tapir, Nasi Lemak Saleha and local kuihw by Sri Talamaz.
“To date, we have seven stations with a Makan@Mesra corner and we are targeting to expand to 15 more by the end of the year, and to over 200 stations by the end of 2021,” he added.
The new Kedai Mesra with Makan@Mesra are available at these locations:
