Porsche Has Lit Up the Middle East With the Taycan

With 2 months to go before the year draws to an end, Porsche has lit up Dubai with their latest publicity stunt - a lightshow on Burj Khalifa in conjunction with the regional launch of the all-electric Porsche Taycan.
With 1 million LEDs to cover 33,000 square metres of the 828-metre tall building, it’s the largest single display surface in the world. The light show started by chronicling Porsche’s milestones as a sports car maker since the 1900s, ending with the introduction of the Porsche Taycan.
CEO of Porsche Middle East, Dr. Manfred Braeunl said, “Electricity has been running through Porsche’s veins from day one and the brand is a pioneer in shaping the mobility of tomorrow with innovative products setting the benchmark for the industry. The all-new Taycan is a culmination of over 70 years of experience building sports cars, merged with incredible new driving technologies. But first and foremost, it is a true Porsche offering pure emotion and extraordinary driving pleasure.”
There’s no prize for guessing which carmaker the Taycan is going to lure well-heeled buyers from. Brand allure notwithstanding, the Taycan shouldn’t be lacking in driving finesse, it is afterall the fastest 4 door electric car at Nürburgring-Nordschleife.
Like us, buyers in the Middle East also get the Taycan 4S, Taycan Turbo, and the Taycan Turbo S. Locally, the Taycan is competitively (a relative term) priced at RM725k for the 4S, RM 999k for the Turbo and RM1.195 million for the Turbo S.
