PETRONAS Dagangan Bhd (PDB) has launched the nationwide PETRONAS Primax 97 with Pro-Race Fuel Contest, which will run for three months.

To participate, customers only need to spend a minimum of RM40 on the new PETRONAS Primax 97 with Pro-Race in a single receipt, in three separate transactions within the same month at any given time during the campaign period from now until May 31, 2021. A badge will be unlocked after three successful transactions, and customers will be eligible to win fantastic prizes offered.

The chances of winning are dependent on the amount of badges received and these badges will be available on the Setel app and app.setel.my for customers using other payment methods. Every transaction done using the app will be entitled to additional bonus entries.

As for the prizes, the grand prize will be a one-bedroom unit at Verti Condominium worth approximately RM600,000 courtesy of UEM Sunrise Berhad while the first prize winner will bring home a Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 AMG Line worth around RM300,000.

There will also be monthly prizes ranging from one-year complimentary fuel supply worth RM3,000 for three winners, RM100 Setel e-vouchers for 100 winners and two units of PETRONAS Syntium 3000 5W-30 lubricants worth RM360 for 20 winners.

“We are very excited about our new premium fuel and we want as many motorists to try and experience the power themselves. Thanks to our sponsors, UEM Sunrise Berhad and our very own PETRONAS Lubricant Marketing Malaysia Sdn Bhd (PLMM), we are able to successfully design a contest that awards our loyal customers with meaningful rewards.” said Khalil Muri, PDB’s Head of Retail Business when commenting on the initiative.

PETRONAS Primax 97 with Pro-Race was launched in December last year and it has proven its power, responsiveness and efficiency with its unique formulation.

The formulation that is only unique to PETRONAS is enhanced with the world’s first Advanced Dual Friction modifier, which reduces friction by 25% more compared to the previous fuel. Incorporating a special fuel and oil interaction, it ensures fuel efficiency and allows further mileage and lower carbon emissions. The new fuel also has proved to remove 99.9% of deposit from key areas in the engine.

Prior to its launch, a series of blind tests was conducted among customers and the results show that 69% of the respondents agreed that the new fuel delivers more power and 66% believes that it is more responsive. In terms of efficiency, 73% of participants concluded that the new fuel generated more kilometers per litre, resulting in lower carbon emissions.
