Rolls-Royce Rolls Into the Second Quarter of 2021 With The Highest Ever First Quarter Sales Results!
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars has achieved the highest-ever first quarter sales results within these first three months of 2021 in all of its 116 years of history.
“Rolls-Royce Motor Cars made a strong start to 2021, reflected today in our first quarter sales figures, which are the highest in our 116-year history. With robust order books across our product range, particularly for the new Ghost and Cullinan, sales growing in key markets and Bespoke commissions running at record levels, our business is in excellent shape. We have every reason to be optimistic for the remainder of 2021," said Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Chief Executive Officer, Torsten Müller-Ötvös.
The company managed to distribute 1,380 motor cars to customers throughout the period of 1 January to 31 March. This increased by 62 percent in the same period in 2020 which overtook 2019’s first quarter record. There was a successful growth of sales in all markets but the most prominent markets were China, US and Asia Pacific.
The new Ghost launch last year proved that the demand for Rolls-Royce models is still booming. Not only that, the superluxury SUV, Cullinan also contributed to this achievement.
Next to that, the Bespoke commissions carry on at the record levels seen last year that include exceptional examples such as the Koa Phantom and Iridescent Opulence Phantom. Not forgetting that all 20 Phantom Tempus Collection vehicles have been distributed to customers all over the world.
"We've responded to recent challenges with our customary boldness, imagination and inventiveness, underpinned by meticulous planning and a relentless focus on our customers' needs and requirements. Every member of our extraordinary team, at the Home of Rolls-Royce at Goodwood and across the globe, has been crucial to delivering these remarkable results; their skills, talents, commitment and enthusiasm make us who we are," Müller-Ötvös added.
