Sporting A Synthesis Of Performance And Luxury, BMW M’sia Presents The 630i GT M Sport
Brandishing an expressive statement of contemporary design with cutting-edge innovations, BMW Malaysia has recently unveiled the new BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo.

This is the brand’s latest iteration of its kind since it was first introduced in 2017 and the locally-assembled BMW 630i GT M Sport fills a niche and is unique in the market.
BMW Group Malaysia’s managing director Hans de Visser said, “The hallmark BMW DNA is enduring even in our niche models. With its distinctive vehicle character, the new BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo occupies a class that is unparalleled in the automotive world, and yet is still undeniably BMW. It is a privilege for us to be able to meet the varied requirements of modern and discerning customers, with a BMW that combines long-distance comfort and sporting ability with luxurious interior and intelligent functionality for when we can enjoy travelling again.”

Probing at the overall build, encompassed by its luxury coupe characteristics the new BMW 630i GT M Sport commands a sharper presence that has been paired to a formidable dynamic driving experience.
Performance aspects, the new BMW 630i GT M Sport harbours under its hood an inline 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 258 hp of maximum power and 400 Nm of peak torque.

Acceleration wise, it can dash the century sprint in just 6.5 seconds while hitting a top speed of 250 km/h. As for the fuel consumption, it combusts up to 7.3l/100 km and it produces CO2 emission of 166g/km.

Gazing at the front, the new bumper has been fitted with the latter, a set of headlights that features the BMW Laserlight with high-beam assist in which it adds dynamic laser illumination technology to the LED Matrix headlights system.
In ensuring maximum visibility throughout any drive, the laser light follows the course of the road ahead in high-beam mode and for the first time, adapts illumination even in low-beam mode.

Not just that, in laser high-beam mode, the range has also increased to a maximum of 650 m, nearly twice as much as that of conventional high-beam headlights.
Flipping to the rear, the 630i GT M Sport can also be seen with a new bumper shape and a new diffuser insert that comes with the M Sport package, complemented by two-sided trapezoidal exhaust pipes.

To emphasize its role as a performance-oriented, long-distance tourer, an active rear spoiler for the tailgate comes as standard.

Elaborating further, the active rear spoiler automatically deploys at 120 km/h and is retracted once the car slows down to 80 km/h. Plus, manual operation is also available via a button on the centre console.
As for the wheels, the new BMW 630i GT M Sport rides on a set of 20-inch M light alloy rims in Star-spoke style 817 M bicolour with mixed tyres and run-flat tyres.

Accompanying them are blue painted M Sport brake callipers with ‘M’ designation, which further accentuate the sporty disposition of the new Gran Turismo.
Completing its exterior, the 630i GT M Sport can be cloaked in four exquisite exterior colours, which are Bernina Grey Amber Effect, Mineral White, Carbon Black and Sophisto Grey Brilliant Effect.
Diving inside, the interior’s fit and finish are generous and luxurious. It now comes with slightly elevated seats at 5 cm in which to ensure pleasant journeys and outstanding all-round visibility.

Embodying its luxurious factor, the upholstery has been wrapped with Dakota leather, while the individual headliner has been finished in anthracite and fine-wood ash trunk wood open-pored panels with pearl chrome highlight trimmings.

Heightening the overall interior, customers have the choice of either Dakota Black leather or Dakota Cognac leather. Both of which have been completed with exclusive stitching and leather piping in contrast.

Representing the model’s name, sports seats for both driver and front passenger have been fitted along with M leather steering wheel and head-up display for the driver.
