7 Cars Crashed! Iron Scaffolding Falls Yet Again, This Time In Cheras
Incidents of iron scaffolding falling seems to be on the rise. This frightening incident was reported to have occurred on Tuesday morning, and this time it happened to seven vehicles parked near the construction site of the building next to Sri Sabah flats, Jalan Ikan Emas, Cheras.
According to a spokesperson from the Operations Center of the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia (JBPM) Kuala Lumpur, an emergency call regarding the incident was received at 9.53am yesterday. A total of seven members were rushed from the Pudu Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) to the scene.
"Upon arrival, we were informed that an iron scaffolding plate had fallen while the lifting work was done by a crane, hitting seven vehicles parked next to the construction site of the building," he said in a statement.
Among the cars that were hit by the iron scaffolding were two Proton Saga, Pajero, Proton Wira, Proton Iriz, Perodua Myvi and Honda City.
"No victims were reported to be involved in the incident and the operation ended at 10.50am," he said.
The project site has been carrying out construction activities on several blocks of residential buildings with the height of more than 50 storeys as well as commercial buildings.
The incident happened shortly after the previous fall of the iron scaffolding that was reported last Saturday.
