According to a spokesperson from the Operations Center of the Fire and Rescue Department of Malaysia (JBPM) Kuala Lumpur, an emergency call regarding the incident was received at 9.53am yesterday. A total of seven members were rushed from the Pudu Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) to the scene.

"Upon arrival, we were informed that an iron scaffolding plate had fallen while the lifting work was done by a crane, hitting seven vehicles parked next to the construction site of the building," he said in a statement.

Among the cars that were hit by the iron scaffolding were two Proton Saga, Pajero, Proton Wira, Proton Iriz, Perodua Myvi and Honda City.
