Expressions Of Timeless Japanese Art Heritage On The Nissan Ariya

The all-new Nissan Ariya made its grand debut with an artistic and striking styling direction called “Timeless Japanese Futurism”. 

Inspired by the traditional Kumiko Pattern, the new design concept for this new Ariya has been made bold with the integration of distinct patterns and symbols into key spots on the vehicle, portraying the car’s Japanese heritage and influences. 

We can see the front exterior shield and several places inside the cabin features Kumiko-inspired patterns, creating a rather attractive-looking crossover and enhancing lighting and speakers without disrupting the room-like interior atmosphere with its negative space element. 

The front is also highlighted by a covered and patterned front grille, emphasised by light guides for a more contemporary take on the company’s V-motion signature.

On the inside, we can feel the touch of sakura embossed inside the centre console tray and mobile phone holder. Ariya’s designers and engineers subtly placed the beloved symbol of Japan’s heritage hiding in plain sight in Nissan’s latest electric vehicle.
