Lexus LX 600 Looks More Hard-Core In Special Off-Road Trim To Japan.

Lexus Japan will be offering an OFFROAD edition of the new LX 600 that comes standard with locking front, centre, and rear differentials and 18-inch wheels with all-terrain tyres.

However, the LX600 Offroad features a few modifications that may eventually make their way to the U.S. market.

The newly added grade in the Land of the Rising Sun has chunkier tyres for improved off-road capabilities, further enhanced by three locking differentials — one on the front axle, one on the back, and one in the four-wheel-drive transfer case.

It helps to send equal torque to each wheel and brings even more off-road control to the LX 600.

Lexus Offroad edition also features black plastic cladding on the fenders and a different grille treatment than the Premium, Ultra Luxury, and F Sport models confirmed for the U.S. 

The matte black grille and plastic fender guards, on the other hand, complete the look and the look is rather sporty.

At the moment, the LX600 Offroad is only for Japan.
