MIROS will promote CRS at 12 locations around the Peninsular

MIROS is conducting its MyCRS tour at health clinics and selected locations around Peninsula Malaysia. The effort aims to increase purchases of child restraint systems (CRS), or child seats, via its MyCRS initiative, and to raise awareness of the importance of CRS. It will also assist those who are eligible (specifically B40 folks) to register and facilitate the approval of their applications.

MIROS has also been conducting awareness campaigns on Social Media to urged parents to use CRS so that accident rates and road crashes involving children could be reduced.

Furthermore, applicants will be provided with additional discount vouchers to the subsidised recipient.

Presently, the government has agreed to subsidise 50% or up to RM150 for the purchase of child safety seats for the B40 group through its 2022 Budget plans. The allocation involves a cost of RM30 million and it was limited to 188,000 applications when it was first announced.
