Honda CR-V gets two new paint options

Honda Malaysia have made two new colour options available now for its CR-V model. The new hues now available for said C-segment crossover SUV are ‘Ignite Red Metallic’ and ‘Selenite Grey Metallic’.

These options will now replace the ‘Passion Red Pearl’ and ‘Modern Steel Metallic’ options that the firm previously offered the CR-V in. Apart from the new paint schemes, there are no other changes to note with the fifth-gen CR-V that’s been on sale locally since 2017.

If you think these hues look familiar, then you’d be right as they are also currently available on other Honda offerings such as the City, City Hatchback, BR-V, Civic, as well as the recently launched new HR-V compact crossover.

According to Honda Malaysia, the Ignite Red Metallic is a highly popular colour choice amongst the models mentioned, making up for 18% on average of sales for the five models mentioned.

However, said red hue is second only to the Selenite Grey Metallic option, which Honda Malaysia says holds a higher 24% average of sales for said five models plus the brand’s Accord D-segment saloon.

“We are confident that both new colours will further accentuate the appearance of the CR-V for customers who seek an SUV with a bolder and modern exterior,” said Hironobu Yoshimura, Honda Malaysia’s CEO and MD.

Presently, the CR-V range consists of four variants, which are 2.0L 2WD, 1.5L TC-P 2WD, 1.5L TC-P 4WD and Black Edition. Price figures range between RM146,900 and RM170,400 (excluding insurance).

Said prices include Honda Malaysia’s offer of a 5-year, unlimited mileage warranty coverage plus Free Labour Service of up to five times lasting for 5 years or 100,000 km (whichever comes first).
