2022 Honda Civic and 2021 Honda City Hybrid recalled

Heads up 2022 Honda Civic and 2021 Honda City Hybrid variant owners, Honda Malaysia have just issued a recall for both models.
This latest recall was issued as a precaution to rectify two separate issues, those being an inactive Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) camera in the 2021 Honda City Hybrid model, and incomplete welding in the driver seat slide adjuster for the 2022 Honda Civic.

In the City model’s ADAS camera issue, a number of said components fitted in the front windscreen may be faulty, which may lead to non-functioning ADAS features. According to Honda Malaysia, up to 630 units of said model are affected by this issue, and this recall sees the firm replacing said component.

As for the Civic, the firm has identified just 72 units that may possess driver seat slide adjusters with incomplete welds, which can cause the driver seat to lose its fixed position whilst driving, thus compromising driver seatbelt protection abilities. Honda Malaysia will rectify these incomplete welds in affected cars through this recall as well.
A total of 702 units are affected in this latest recall. As per the firm's past recall efforts, the inspection, repair and replacement of the affected parts are free of charge and all costs related to this recall activity will be borne by Honda Malaysia.
Whilst Honda Malaysia asserts that it will duly notify affected customers, it also urges affected customers to contact any authorised dealer and set their appointments upon receiving their notifications to have their vehicles checked and repaired if required, with the latter subjected to parts availability.
Furthermore, owners can also obtain information or check their vehicle’s involvement status in this product recall by either calling Honda Malaysia’s Toll-Free number hotline 1-800-88-2020, or by logging on to productrecall.honda.com.my.
