Mitsubishi XFC Concept Previewed In Vietnam, Sale In ASEAN Expected In 2023

The all new Mitsubishi XFC Concept was unveiled today at the ongoing Vietnam Motor Show 2022. Following the footsteps of its benchmarked predecessor the ASX, the XFC offers an even bolder design language with its powerful and imposing style while still promising ample cargo space, comfort, good handling and a modern interior.
This is different from the ASX that was recently launched for the European market which is actually just a rebadged Renault Captur.
Takao Kato, president and chief executive officer, Mitsubishi Motors said, "We will launch the new compact SUV sequentially in the ASEAN markets including Vietnam in fiscal year 2023”. He further added that there are plans to introduce an electrified model and offer the XFC to other regions outside ASEAN true to being a Global Strategic Vehicle.
Sticking to the Robust & Ingenious design philosophy, the Mitsubishi XFC Concept combines compactness with an imposing vibe of an SUV without compromising on the overall sleekness of its design. The XFC Concepts rough road handling ability is made possible thanks to its high road clearance and larger wheels.
Up front, the XFC Concept would feature a Dynamic Shield concept flagged by distinctive L-shaped headlights and features louvre-like daytime running lights (DRL). The rear showcases bold T-shaped tail lights accentuating the wideness of the compact SUV.

Inside, the XFC Concept offers drivers ease and comfort in operating the vehicle. The horizontal instrument panel makes it easier to sense the vehicle's posture when going through uneven surfaces.
The Mitsubishi XFC Concept ultimately is designed with the driver in mind by providing good visibility and a full digital driver display. The centre display is able to show three separate information namely, navigation, road surface conditions, or other information necessary for driving on one screen for added safety.

Furthermore, the XFC Concept would boast a spacious cabin even though its categorised in the compact segment. The party piece would be the ample rear leg-room and comfortable seats.
The XFC Concept would come with four drive modes — Normal, Wet, Gravel and Mud — to enable drivers, especially urban dwellers, confidence, be it rain or shine. The wet mode, which is the first in any Mitsubishi, was developed specifically with the ASEAN users in mind considering potential sudden flood during heavy downpour.
