The 2022 Daihatsu Sirion Facelift Is Unveiled In Indonesia – Missing The ADAS Suite But It Receives Android Auto And Apple CarPlay
The Myvi’s twin; The 2022 Daihatsu Sirion facelift is fully imported (CBU) from Malaysia. The car is powered by a naturally-aspirated 1.3-litre 1NR-VE DOHC DVVT-i (95 PS/119 Nm) paired to a D-CVT gearbox across two variants.
Despite having fewer safety features and only the smaller engine available, it outperforms our Perodua Myvi by including Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as standard.
As for pricings, Sirion X CVT is priced at IDR 227.6 million (RM 69k) meanhwhile the R CVT has a higher price tag at IDR 236.8 million (RM 72k)
It rides on 15-inch alloy wheels as standard but is missing out on DRLs which makes the straight housing in the front bumper a tad bit empty.

Other standard features on the Indonesian Sirion are;
Automatic headlights
Fabric seats
Digital infotainment with Android Auto/Apple CarPlay connectivity
Auto-lock
Digital air-conditioning
Idle stop system
The R variant gets a 4.2-inch TFT display in the instrument cluster while the X gets a standard LCD display.
Other features only found on the R variant are;
Front corner sensors
Auto folding mirrors
Air purifier

However, the Sirion is missing the ADAS suite, but comes equipped with with standard passive safety features such as:
Front and side airbags
Hill-Start Assist
ABS and EBD
VSC and TRC
The Daihatsu Sirion may be less safe than the Perodua Myvi, but it compensates with car connectivity that is far less clunky than what is available here. Can the Sirion beat our ‘Road King’ ?
