2023 Subaru Forester Prices Dropped by RM10K– Now From RM164K

TC Subaru Sdn Bhd has quietly updated the prices for its C-segment SUV model, the facelifted Subaru Forester, months after making its local debut. As of August 16, all four variants of the Forester have dropped by RM10,000 from its launching price.

This price drop sees the baseline Forester 2.0i-L EyeSight variant now priced at RM164,288, while both the GT Lite Edition EyeSight and 2.0i-S EyeSight models are priced RM170,288 and RM174,288 respectively. Meanwhile, the range-topping Forester GT Edition EyeSight is priced at RM186,288. All prices displayed here are on-the-road (OTR) sans insurance for Peninsula Malaysia.

As standard, TC Subaru is offering a five-year or 100,000 KM vehicle warranty for all variants of the Subaru Forester. Apart from that, there’s also the optional Subaru Connex package worth RM1,900. This package adds services like automatic crash response, enhanced breakdown assistance, VIP Assist, and many more.

2023 Subaru Forester Facelift 2.0 GT Edition EyeSight

Launched earlier this year, the facelifted Forester saw the model gain several minor design changes, including brand-new LED headlights and taillights design, with the former featuring C-shaped signature DRLs that are flanking the newly-designed front grille. Meanwhile, the two GT specs – the GT Lite and GT Edition – are offered standard with sporty GT bodykits, which includes snazzier 18-inch two-tone GT alloy wheels.

Powertrain specs, however, remain unchanged, as the facelift model is powered by the same 2.0-litre 4-cyl nat-asp ‘Boxer’ engine that is mated to Lineartronic CVT gearbox to deliver 154 HP and 196 NM. Power is then sent to all four wheels via an active torque-splitting all-wheel drive (AWD) system featuring dynamic X-Mode. Aside from that, all variants of the Forester facelift now come standard with Subaru’s proprietary EyeSight ADAS suite.
