New MINI Countryman Roof Art Edition arrives with unique artwork by Professional Crayon

MINI Malaysia has expanded its lineup today, as the marque launches a new variant for its MINI Countryman compact SUV model, known as the Roof Art Edition. Still based on the current-gen Countryman SUV, this special edition model gets a unique roof art design penned by renowned local mural artist Jared Lim – also known as ‘Professional Crayon’.

Fusing local art and rugged adventure-ready vehicles in a single package, the Countryman Roof Art Edition boasts a unique roof livery known as the ‘Foliage’, which seamlessly blends the essence of adventure with the vibrant elements of local culture. This includes several elements from the MINI brand including the wings from the marque’s emblem that are weaved together with some native floras, as well as the national flower of Malaysia – the hibiscus or ‘Bunga Raya’.

Serving as a canvas for this intricate roof design is the two-tone exterior hue options offered to the MINI Countryman Roof Art Edition. A total of three two-tone exterior colourways are offered by MINI Malaysia, including British Racing Green, Chilli Red and Island Blue, with all of them featuring a blacked-out roof part.

Aside from that, this special edition Countryman still gets the standard equipment like the rest. For its exterior, the Countryman Roof Art Edition is donned with rounded automatic LED headlights, a slew of high-gloss black accents courtesy of the Piano Black Exterior Optic, as well as the full LED taillights with unique Union Jack signature illumination.

On board, the MINI Countryman Roof Art Edition retains the MINI Yours Illuminated cockpit design, finished in Shaded Silver with Dark Silver door bezels and Hazy Grey elements, as well as Carbon Black-hued leather upholstery. Meanwhile, tech amenities like the 5-inch digital instrument cluster, a larger 8.8-inch touch infotainment display, a head-up display, as well as the 12-speaker Harman Kardon HiFi system are all available in this special model.

Hiding beneath its hood is a familiar 2.0-litre 4-cyl MINI TwinPower Turbo mill that produces 192 HP and 280 NM to boot. Paired with a seven-speed DCT gearbox that supports multiple driving modes including ‘Sports’, the MINI Countryman is good for a century sprint time of 7.5 seconds, en route to its limited V-max of 226 KM/H.

The all-new MINI Countryman Roof Art Edition is now open for booking at any preferred MINI Authorised Dealerships, or via MINI Malaysia’s online retail platform, available only in limited quantities. At a price tag of RM264,888 on-the-road sans insurance, customers will get the standard MINI 4-year unlimited mileage vehicle warranty with free scheduled service.

On top of that, each purchase of the MINI Countryman Roof Art Edition also includes MINI Malaysia’s 5-year Roadside Assistance programme, which includes a 24-hour 365-day-a-year Accident and Help on the Phone and On the Spot Hotline, Free Towing Services and when needed (over 200KM from residential home), Replacement Vehicle, Seamless Mobility, Accommodation, Mobility Services Solutions as well as Repatriation services.
