PGF Capital plans RM3bil Integrated Township Near Proton City
A self-sustaining integrated township project with an estimated RM3 billion gross development value (GDV) near the Automotive High-Tech Valley (AHTV) in Proton City, Tanjong Malim, Perak, has been unveiled by PGF Capital Bhd.
Over a period of 10 to 15 years, the township, which covers 161.87 hectares, seeks to establish a peaceful and sustainable living environment. The all-inclusive development consists of lifestyle communities, such as a retirement and wellness village, plantations for agriculture, aquaculture operations, eco-tourism, and an eco-retreat.
PGF Capital complements Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, China's dominant automotive company, with its RM46.8 billion investment by utilizing AHTV's potential.
A thriving community with integrated infrastructure and amenities is what the master plan aims to create.
With an estimated GDV of RM600 million, PGF Capital and Malvest Properties Sdn Bhd have inked a joint venture agreement for Phase 1, which will focus on technology integration for sustainable living, such as the use of solar energy, electric vehicles, and AI-enhanced security systems.
The first phase of the development plan is scheduled to begin in 2024, and approval from the state government of Perak is pending.
