ROI Now Open Online For New Mercedes-Benz CLE Coupe

MBM has quietly opened up online ROI (Registration Of Interest) for the new Mercedes-Benz CLE Coupe (C236) grand tourer.
It appears that Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) has quietly opened up online Registration Of Interest (ROI) for the new Mercedes-Benz CLE Coupe. As a refresher, this is an all-new luxury grand tourer offering from the three-point star that first debuted in coupe form back in July last year.
Bearing the chassis code C236, the CLE Coupe, and subsequently its A236 cabriolet twin, stand as a direct replacement to both the C-Class Coupe and Cabriolet (C205 and A205), as well as the E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet (C238 and A238).
It’s unclear as to which variant of the CLE Coupe will be offered exactly. However, based on details posted on MBM’s website, it’s almost certain that the CLE Coupe for discerning Malaysian prospects will come richly equipped.

MBM hasn't stipulated which variant(s) of the CLE Coupe will be offered locally. Based on details posted online, the model is certain to feature a rich list of kit and amenities.
Key highlights include the three-point star’s intelligent and adaptive Digital Light LED headlights, latest MBUX infotainment with Augmented Reality navigation displays, a heads-up display (HUD), 7-zone massage seats, as well as a Burmester 3D audio suite.
Powertrain remains uncertain, but the CLE Coupe has a slew of turbocharged mild-hybrid (MHEV) petrol 4-cyl and in-line 6-cyl mills available, alongside a sole diesel choice too. Typically though, we can expect MBM to skip on the latter oil-burner for our market.

Both Dynamic Body Control adjustable suspension and rear-wheel-steering (RWS) forms key parts of the CLE Coupe's list of standard equipment.
What’s certain is that Malaysia-bound CLE Coupe models will see their drivelines matched with the chassis’ offer of both Dynamic Body Control adjustable suspension plus a rear-wheel-steering (RWS) suite.
In terms of safely, the CLE Coupe offers much of the three-point star’s latest and greatest such as Active Brake Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Speed Limit Assist, parking package with a reversing camera and, for select markets, Active Distance Assist Distronic is also included as standard kit.

All-new from the ground up, the new CLE Coupe stands as a replacement to both the C-Class Coupe and E-Class Coupe offered previously.
As usual, MBM remains tight-lipped about product launch timelines, but we reckon it will be some time before the firm officially announces this model’s arrival. At which point, we can also perhaps expect the firm to give indicative pricing for the much hotter Mercedes-AMG version of this coupe.
Which powertrain spec do you reckon MBM will offer the CLE Coupe with? And What sort of pricing should this sleek and plush new GT command? As usual, share your predictions in the comments below, as well as our social media pages…
