Trailer Accident at PLUS Pagoh to Yong Peng (Southbound) – Contra Lanes Activated

PLUS has activated contra lanes between Pagoh and Yong Peng (southbound) due to an accident involving a trailer and three cars.
A major road accident involving a trailer truck and three cars has taken place on the PLUS highway between Pagoh and Yong Peng southbound. The accident happened earlier this morning, where the trailer blocked all two lanes of the highway, causing massive traffic jams.
Fortunately, as of 12.17 PM today, PLUS has moved the trailer away from blocking all the lanes, while at the same time, contra lanes have been opened to help alleviate the traffic congestion. Prior to this, PLUS reported at 10.26 AM this morning that the accident has caused a major traffic build-up that spans up to 10 KM since all the lanes were blocked by the trailer.

Although contra lanes have been opened to mitigate the traffic, both PLUS and the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) have advised road users travelling southbound on the PLUS highway to take alternative routes. Those who are just about to start their journey southbound are also advised to avoid the PLUS highway altogether and plan their trips accordingly.
For more information regarding this accident and other traffic-related updates, you can follow PLUS Malaysia’s and LLM’s official social media pages.
