Partial Closure Of NPE, Besraya From Saturday Midnight For IJM Marathon

A portion of the Sungai Besi Expressway (Besraya) and New Pantai Expressway (NPE) will be temporarily closed from midnight on Saturday, to 11 a.m. on Sunday, September 8, in order to make room for the IJM Allianz Duo Highway Challenge 2024.
The closures will affect 31 selected areas on the NPE and 20 on the Besraya, with distances of 5 km, 10 km, 21 km half marathon, and 42.195 km full marathon, beginning and ending at Sunway Pyramid.
The NPE closure will extend from Km1.8 at the Kewajipan roundabout in Subang Jaya to Km11 towards Bangsar. Both sides of the highway will be closed. The closure of Besraya will begin at Km21.9, from the Kuchai Lama direct overpass to Jalan Pandan 1, and will affect both directions as it heads towards the Middle Ring Road 2.
In order to reduce traffic congestion, the police, NPE, and Besraya traffic teams will patrol these areas during the run and direct drivers to alternate routes.

The CEO of NPE, Besraya Wan Salwani Wan Yusoff, stated that the highways had received permission for the closure from the Malaysian Highway Authority and the Works Ministry.
