Launched: Enhanced 2025 Mitsubishi Triton Athlete – From RM159,980

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia has launched the enhanced version of the Triton Athlete, priced at RM159,980 on-the-road.
Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM) is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year by unveiling the enhanced version of its top-spec pick-up truck, the Mitsubishi Triton Athlete. The 2025 version of the Triton Athlete gains several additional features and equipment, priced at RM159,980 on-the-road—making it RM6,000 cheaper than the original launch version.

The exclusive enhancements bestowed upon the 2025 Triton Athlete include a new front bumper garnish, making this already rugged pick-up truck look bolder and more aggressive. Also available here are the new decorative decals that blend well with the exterior colour options available for the Athlete model, namely the signature Yamabuki Orange, Jet Black Mica, and White Diamond.
On the practicality front, the enhanced Triton Athlete gets a stylish sport bar above its flatbed, while a tailgate assist system has also been added to make opening and closing them smoother and more convenient than before.

Besides those changes, the updated Triton Athlete remains the same as the original launch model, drawing power from a 2.4-litre 4-cyl 4N16 turbodiesel engine, which is mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox to deliver 204 PS and 470 Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels via the new Super Select 4WD-II suite, with up to seven selectable drive and terrain modes available at the driver’s disposal.

We can also expect the same on-board amenities primed on this enhanced Triton Athlete, which include key amenities such as a 7-inch infotainment screen that supports wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a wireless charger, dual-zone climate control, black and orange upholstery for all the seats, and many more.

Apart from the newly enhanced Triton Athlete, MMM is also celebrating its 20th birthday by offering limited-time exclusive promotions. Customers who book the range-topping Triton Athlete can enjoy a 5-year free maintenance package or a reward package worth up to RM8,000. On top of that, future Triton Athlete owners can also enjoy exclusive financing packages from Maybank and Public Bank, with interest as low as 0.6%.

Last but not least, MMM is also organising a special Scratch & Win contest in conjunction with its two-decade birthday bash. From June 16, 2025, onwards, customers who book the Triton or the Xpander MPV at any MMM authorised dealerships will be eligible to participate in this contest, where they will stand a chance to win exclusive prizes, including an iPhone 16, an iPad, iPods, Seiko watches, Thule products, and many more.
