Rapid KL Expands On-Demand Van Service To 12 New Areas In Selangor

Rapid KL’s on-demand van service is stepping into a new phase, expanding to 12 more areas in Shah Alam and Klang starting Friday.
According to Rapid Bus, the new zones include Persiaran Dato Menteri–KTM Shah Alam, KTM Padang Jawa–Terminal 17, Seksyen 7, U12 Cahaya Alam, Bandar Baru Klang, and KTM Klang–Batu Belah. Service is also being rolled out in Taman Summit, Teluk Gadong, Sri Andalas, Klang Jaya, Bandar Bukit Tinggi, and Bandar Puteri.
The expansion is part of Prasarana’s effort to strengthen first- and last-mile connectivity and improve access to public transport in growing urban areas.
“This isn’t just route expansion. It’s about making sure more people, especially those in underserved areas, have access to reliable, affordable, and inclusive transit,” said Amir Hamdan, acting president and CEO of Prasarana.
In a related move, two service zones which are Desa Pinggiran Putra–Dataran Gemilang and MRT Putrajaya Sentral–PICC will be combined into a single integrated route, now called MRT Putrajaya Sentral–PICC and Desa Pinggiran Putra.
To encourage more users, the RM1 per trip promo fare remains in place. The vans run daily from 6am to 11.30pm, and every booking guarantees a seat via the Rapid On-Demand app, available on the App Store and Google Play.
