Motorists have until Dec 30, 2025, to clear their JPJ summonses at a 50% discount which is the last offer before a new payment system starts next year.

JPJ director-general Datuk Aedy Fadly Ramli said the discount applies to most offences except those requiring court action or issued under AWAS, Investigation Notices (114), and Stamped Summonses (JPJ P23/115).

Payments can be made at JPJ counters or through online platforms.

“We urge the public to take advantage of the two-month window to settle their summonses,” he said in a Bernama report.

Starting Jan 1, 2026, there will be no more blanket discounts. Instead, a tiered structure will be introduced.

Those who pay within 15 days get 50% off, while payments between 16-30 days get 33% off, while anything beyond 60 days could face court action or blacklisting.

Transport Minister Anthony Loke said the new system rewards motorists who pay promptly rather than waiting for occasional discounts.

“One-off discount programmes unfairly penalise motorists who consistently follow the rules,” he stressed.
