Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV Debuts on Feb 4 – Est. RM110K–RM130K

The much-anticipated Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV is slated to debut this Feb 4, as indicated by Proton’s social media post.
Following its first preview and booking commencement, it appears that we already have the launch date for the much-anticipated Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV. This was indicated by a social post published on Proton e.MAS’ official account yesterday (Jan 25), this ‘dual-powered EV’ is slated to make its debut in ten days’ time, which according to our calculations will take place on Feb 4.
As a recap, a total of three variants are available, namely Prime, Premium, and Premium+, with estimated pricing of between RM110,000 and RM130,000. Besides that, PRO-NET also announced a special early bird perk of an RM500 booking fee rebate for the first 5,000 bookings placed.

For those who aren’t familiar with the e.MAS 7 PHEV, this semi-electrified SUV is essentially a Proton-badged redux of the Geely Galaxy Starship 7 PHEV, which is also known as the Geely Starray EM-i in several overseas markets.

On the powertrain front, all three variants of the e.MAS 7 PHEV shares the same 1.5-litre 4-cyl petrol Dedicated Hybrid Engine (DHE), which is then paired with an 11-in-1 Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) to deliver a combined output of 193 kW (259 PS) and 262 Nm.
Two LFP battery options are available, namely the smaller 18.4 kWh unit for both Prime and Premium and the larger 29.8 kWh pack for the Premium+. Proton e.MAS claims the former is good for up to 105 km of pure electric range and up to 1,000 km of combined range, as well as a low fuel economy rate of 4.3 litres per 100 km—all figures are based on the NEDC standards.

As for the Premium+ variant, the larger battery pack extends its EV-only range to 170 km, while its combined range has now been extended to 1,065 km, with a lower fuel economy rating of 4.4 litres per 100 km.
In terms of charging, all variants accept 6.6 kW AC charging as standard. Both the Prime and Premium will also accept up to 30 kW of DC fast-charging inputs, allowing for 30-80% re-charges in under 20 minutes. The Premium +, on the other hand, doubles that to 60 kW, thus allowing 30-80% re-charges in under 16 minutes instead.
