Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) today announced that the recently refreshed W205-generation C-Class models have been inducted into its local assembly (CKD) efforts in Pekan, Pahang.

The line-up remains the same as before with two variants, those being the C200 Avantgarde and C300 AMG Line. With local assembly comes revisions in pricing, with the former now commanding RM287,888 and the latter from RM327,888. Said figures also see reduction of RM12,000 and RM17,000 respectively over the fully imported (CBU) versions offered prior.
Despite the reduction in prices, the specification in both variants remains identical to what was seen in their former CBU forms. Notably, there are several new features added too such as a powered tailgate opening granting easier boot access, as well as Pre-Safe collision-mitigation that enhances occupant safety further.

Also unchanged are the 2.0-litre 4-cyl turbo petrol and 9-speed automatic powertrain packages both variants possess. In the C200, said package delivers 201 hp and 300 Nm whilst the C300 has a higher state of tune to output 255 hp and 400 Nm instead.

The C300 AMG Line builds further upon this through the addition of the AMG styling package with larger 19-inch alloy wheels, AMG sports seats as opposed to comfort seats in the C200 Avantgarde, AMG-branded floor mats, steering wheel wrapped in Nappa leather, as well as a 360-degree camera function.

Both powered by the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) system that also includes an LTE-powered Mercedes me connect services on top of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.
In terms of safety, the newly-added Pre-safe feature mentioned earlier now works in tandem with things like Active Blind Spot Assist, Lane Tracking package, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Brake Assist, a passive cruise control suite, as well as the Parking package that laces the C200 Avantgarde with a reverse camera plus Active Parking Assist with Parktronic.
Lastly, both models see their respective prices include MBM’s 4-year, unlimited mileage warranties too.
