GoCar and Green EV Charge team up to make EV charging more accessible
Green EV Charge, a joint venture firm between Yinson Green Technologies (M) Sdn Bhd and GreenTech Malaysia Alliances Sdn Bhd, has inked an agreement with GoCar Malaysia.
According to GoCar Malaysia's CEO Wong Hoe Mun, the integration with JomCharge and now chargeEV will offer consumers greater accessibility to EV charging points. Through the GoCar app, any EV user - non GoCar members included - will be able to connect to both networks to charge their EVs.
The first phase of this integration allows GoCar app users to view locations, availability, and the types of chargers present on the chargEV network. The next step will allow users to pre-book an EV charger, schedule a recharge, make payments, and monitor their charging status.
Presently, GoEV allows GoCar members to drive an EV for anywhere up to an hour, a day, a month, or even one to three years. Statistics collected thus far shows that 90% of the 1,000 GoEV customers who have logged more than 500,000 km were first-time EV users too.
