This Tesla Model S Has Been Transformed To A Convertible

Premium vehicle customization can be a simple as laying hand-crafted upholstery and jewellery to one-off projects that fit hand-beaten body panels to realize a modern take on a classic.

An owner of the fully electric Tesla Model S got hold of Italian coachbuilder Ares Design to transform his four-door sedan into an eye-catching two-door soft-top convertible.

Lots of engineering design and fabrication work was done for the conversion: the front doors have been made longer, heaps of structural braces for added reinforcement and a beautifully styled trunk lid that stores the folded soft-top.

The resultant conversion is pure splendour. The rear quarter slightly bulges upwards hinting sportiness and naturally blends with the tail of the Model S. Ares Design also included their self-design aerokit for added charisma.

Being a convertible, the dashboard and the seats are visible when to roof is placed down, thus Ares Design paid attention to ensure every surface of the interior is appropriately covered with the finest materials. 

The customer selected Ice White for the overall leather upholstery, with orange highlights to break the monotony.
