Mercedes-Benz’ Anniversary And Premier Of Their 50-Millionth Car
Coming out of Mercedes’ Factory 56 is their first new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class which is also the 50-millionth car from Mercedes-Benz to roll off the line under the global production network.
Mercedes-Benz have produced a total of 50 million cars all in the highest precision and top quality for over 75 years. The foundation for this success comes from the global foundation network which consists of car plants that are located all around the world.
“I’m very proud of this very special production anniversary. 50 million vehicles produced is a significant milestone in the history of our company and an exceptional achievement by the team. I would like to thank the colleagues in the plants around the world for their work and their commitment.” said Mercedes-Benz AG’s member of the board of management for production and supply chain Jorg Burzer.
The 50-millionth Mercedes-Maybach S-Class and the longer version, as well as the EQS, will also be produced in the company’s Factory 56 in the later stage. The implementation of electric mobility offensive is the main focus for the global production network.
As of next year, 2022, a total of six new Mercedes-EQ models will have been integrated into the running series production operations. The high-tech production facility in the Mercedes-Benz Sindelfingen plant was opened in September 2020. It is Mercedes-Benz’ most modern automobile production facility.
