Edaran Otomobil Nasional Bhd (EON) recently set up a Proton automobile website to reach a bigger audience.

According to DRB-HICOM head of automotive distribution and EON chief executive officer, Mohamed Akkbar Danial, this action will not only garner an excellent opportunity for business growth, but it is also at the core of the car buying process.

"With over 80 per cent of Malaysian car buyers doing their research online before making a purchase, it is only logical to have a good website that works well on personal computers, smartphones and tablets.

"Created with the user experience in mind, the newly-designed website includes many features to help users easily navigate and browse for Proton models," he mentioned.

In addition to that, Mohamed Akkbar also stated that EON has nine branches nationwide, making it the single largest Proton dealer in the country.

"Through the website, the most accurate, up-to-date information and promotions regarding our products are easily accessible for our current and prospective customers to make informed car-buying decisions.

"We also endeavour to offer savvy Malaysian shoppers a virtual showroom to browse and book from a wide range of Proton cars, even when showrooms are closed for any reason," he added.
