- Separated Due To The Pandemic, Grieving Mother Couldn’t See Her Child
A mother was heartbroken when her wish to meet her daughter was not fulfilled after receiving the news that she had died in an accident on the East Coast Highway 2 (LPT 2) heading towards Ajil-Bukit Besi, Hulu Terengganu yesterday.
The victim was known as Nurshahyda Mohd. Zaki, 29. She wanted to visit her mother after not seeing her parents for a long time due to the pandemic.
Nurshahyda's wish to meet her mother was not fulfilled when a Ford Ranger four-wheel-drive vehicle she was riding in with her husband and the five-month-old baby was suddenly hit by a Toyota Estima car.

Hulu Terengganu District Police Chief, Superintendent Mohd. Adli Mat Daud confirmed that his party received a report regarding the incident.
When asked to comment on the accident, Mohd Adli said the Toyota Estima was driven by a student of a higher learning institution in Dungun.

The investigation found that the student's vehicle lost control while overtaking the victim's car before crashing into the Ford Ranger on the side of the front passenger seat.

As a result of strong blows to the vehicle, Nurshahyda was pronounced dead at the scene due to severe head injuries.

"It breaks my heart to see my beloved child laying so stiff," said her mother, who did not want to be identified.
Fortunately, the victim's husband, Ahmad Rakeymi Hafey Roslam, 29, and their five-month-old daughter, Nur Ammara Safiyya, were reported safe and unharmed.
