Subaru Corporation recently revealed a model exclusive to the North American markets, the 2022 Forester Wilderness.

Following the Outback Wilderness that made its debut in March this year, the Forester Wilderness is the second model in the Subaru Wilderness family. This vehicle emphasizes a tough-and-rugged design, as well as increased rough-road capability and functionality.

Exclusive to the model is 0.8 inches wider roof rails with increased maximum load capacity and yellow accented three rope holes on legs on each side that match the black and grey interior that also has the same yellow accents. Convenience features include seats that are finished in water-repellent material.

Under the hood is a 2.5L direct-injection Subaru BOXER engine. In addition to that, also exclusive to the model is an air-cooled CVT fluid cooler that equips the Forester Wilderness with a towing capacity of 3,000 lbs. All-terrain tires come as standard on the vehicle.

It features a suspension with exclusive coil springs that allow for an expanded minimum ground clearance of 9.2 inches.

The Forester Wilderness follows Subaru’s mid-term business vision “STEP” revealed in July 2018, as the company had set the “enhancement of SUV” as a part of product launch directions.
