- Honda Jazz Production In Malaysia Comes To An End
As the saying goes, 'All Good Things Must Come To An End,' Honda Jazz has bid farewell to Malaysia after more than 100,000 units sold.
This is after two Images surfaced on Facebook, one showing a group of workers posing in front of a Honda jazz, and another showing a sign with words showing '2012-2021, Honda Jazz Last Production Unit, Bye...Bye...'.
Honda Jazz has first introduced in Malaysia 18 years ago, and half of the time, it was locally assembled.
However, this is the end for Jazz. Honda Jazz is still widely available worldwide, but not in Southeast Asia (except for Singapore). The latest fourth-generation Honda Jazz was launched in Singapore with three variants on offer mainly the 1.5 Base CVT, 1.5 Home CVT and e:HEV Luxe Hybrid.
The 1.5 Base model was sold at a starting price of S$ 98,999 (RM300,700), while the 1.5 Home model is priced at S$ 101,999 (RM309,800). Meanwhile, the Luxe hybrid model will be retailed at S$ 103,999 (RM315,900).
Fast forward to the Malaysian market, the grapevine has been spreading that the production of the Honda Jazz will be replaced with the Honda City Hatchback.
Currently, there are two models that have been launched in several countries but have not arrived in Malaysia; they are the Honda City Hatchback and the 11th generation Honda Civic.
Meanwhile, Caricarz has yet to get comments from Honda Malaysia regarding this matter at press time.
