Tesla’s Most Awaited Semi All-Electric Truck, The Definition of Ultra-Futurism?
As we know, Tesla’s most awaited Semi all-electric truck is scheduled for production next year. The semi is said to be the safest, most comfortable truck.
On top of that, it can accelerate from 0-100km/h in around 20 seconds and has a range of 300 - 500 miles (483 - 805 km).
The vision of the Tesla heavy goods vehicle, the Tesla Autonomous E-Rig semi, was brought to life by industrial and transport designer Jeremy Dodd.
This concept shows how Tesla could solve the problem of long-distance driving for commercial vehicles.
Following that, the HGV is equipped with an extendable extension to adapt to owners’ needs, the geographic location, and the cargo that needs to be transported.
For even more convenience, the driving cockpit’s top and the bay of the trailer are solar-powered. This charges the battery reserve while you’re on the move. Additionally, it includes a regenerative braking system that recycles energy from the wheels to the turbines.
Tesla’s Autonomous E-Rig comes with a zero turning radius on all wheels so that it can make sharp turns or easily make a safe manoeuvre around in tight spaces.
However, the one flaw may be that the vehicle can only transport cargo on the top of its trailer.
