“These offences are very dangerous because they involve public transport carrying passengers, including tourists, in the heart of the city. JPJ will not compromise with any operator who ignores the law,” he stressed.Hamidi confirmed that all drivers were locals, and summonses were issued to both the drivers and vehicle owners under <a rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.carz.com.my/2025/08/jpj-will-seize-vehicles-from-firms-hiring-foreign-commercial-drivers" target="_blank" style="">the Road Transport Act 1987.</a><span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:Arial,sans-serif;color:#000000;background-color:transparent;font-weight:400;font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;text-decoration:none;vertical-align:baseline;white-space:pre;white-space:pre-wrap;">“JPJ takes non-compliance seriously, especially when it involves vehicles entrusted with passenger safety,” he said, adding that daily enforcement will continue to safeguard the integrity of the public transport system.
