Mother And Child Killed in A Car Accident

A 40-years old mother and her 14-years old daughter were found dead in a car accident after hitting a large concrete rock at Jalan Kampung Segaliud Seberang, Kinabatangan. 

The tragedy happened when the Perodua Alza they were riding collided on the road shoulder, which caused them to crash the large concrete rock. 

As reported, three other victims aged between 15 and 33 years old suffered from severe injuries due to the incident.


Chief Officer of Kinabatangan Fire and Rescue Station, Nurul Azlan Shah Jamalludin, said they received an emergency call at 6.02 am. Following the case, six-member and officers from the station were sent to the scene along with their machinery. 


 "Upon arrival, all the victims were still in the vehicle, and the operation to remove the victims continued.

"Two female victims who were mother and child were confirmed dead at the scene by medical officers.


The husband and two nephews aged 15 and 16 were sent to Kinabatangan Hospital for further treatment. As mentioned, the dead bodies were handed over to the police for further action. 

The operation ended at 9.22am.
