Trying to cheat her way out of paying RM 2.50, an Axia driver was recorded willing to enter a motorcycle lane just to avoid the toll.

As she tries to manoeuvre her way through, a motorcyclist who happened to be behind the 49-year-old woman's car managed to get her shenanigans on video.

The incident was recorded at the Ayer Panas Toll Plaza, Duke Highway, last Saturday, and clearly, the driver’s actions endangered motorcyclists using the route.

Average citizens of the net have criticized the woman’s actions of wanting to save some money to be in poor taste.

Consequences of her actions finally caught up with her as she was tracked down and summoned by the police after the said video went viral on Facebook.

"Apparently, this driver is willing to pay RM 300 compared to RM 2.50, people are getting weirder," commented a Facebook user.

Kuala Lumpur Police Traffic Enforcement and Investigation Department’s (JSPT) chief assistant commissioner Sarifudin Mohd Salleh, confirmed that his division received a report on the incident.

According to the assistant commissioner, the 49-year-old female driver who is a local was detected on the same day.

"Immediately after receiving the viral video, the authorities made haste to track down the owner of the car, and the woman driver has been charged under Rule 008 (3) LN 166/59) for not following the traffic sign," he said.

Remember, the motorcycle lanes are only reserved for motorcyclists, other vehicles such as cars are not allowed to enter as it endangers other users and can cause accidents.
