Introducing three Chery vehicles premiered at Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) marks the first event in ASEAN region to have Tiggo 8 Pro, Tiggo 7 Pro, OMODA 5 and EQ1.
The Tiggo line-ups is known to have Chery’s latest R&D concepts and technologies, while having Tiggo 7 Pro won Most Popular Chinese Car Brand in Peru has brought honour to its car marque.
Adorned with the most recent fascia of the Chery family with diamond inlet grille alongside crystal diamond lens LED headlamps symbolizes sporty looks for the award-winning champion.
Meanwhile, flagship model Tiggo 8 Pro is powered by a 2.0 TGDI engine producing 251 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque which delivers a thermal efficiency of 41 percent.
Interactive features includes remote start, a 360-degree camera and Chery’s Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) incorporating many functions including Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking and Front Collision Warning.
Themed this year with ‘Feel The Difference’, Chery displayed OMODA 5 that holds its futuristic technology and shared ecosystem for its users worldwide setting to embark a journey in Asia, South America, Australia, Africa, and also Europe in five years’ time.
In particular, the OMODA 5 started production in China only in February, and this is its first presence in ASEAN region.
President of Chery International Mr Zhang Guibing stated Indonesia is one of the world’s most promising auto markets and an important strategic market for Chery in Southeast Asia.
“Chery will take the Indonesian market as the bridgehead, venture into a new investment and business model, rely on its technical strength, and strive to bring advanced technology and intelligent products to Indonesia,”he added.
Aiming to have more than 100 outlets around Indonesia covering regions such as Java, Sumatra, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and Bali. It also plans to establish parts hubs in the four core islands to provide fast parts supply and after-sales service.
