7 Kindergarten Kids Wounded In A Bus Accident

A total of seven Kindergarten students were injured after the bus they were on crashed into a ditch on Jalan Kelab Golf, Bukit Rotan, here today.

The incident at 10.15 in the morning involved 44 passengers including five and six year old students and Kindergarten teachers.

Kuala Selangor District Police Chief, Superintendent Ramli Kasa, said the incident happened when the bus driven by the man in his 30s was on his way from Putrajaya to a zoo in Kampung Teluk Penyamun.

"When arriving at the location, a lorry from the opposite direction is believed to have entered the bus path.

"It caused the driver of the bus to brake to avoid it, then skidded and went into the ditch," he added.

Ramli said that seven passengers sustained facial injuries as a result of the collision after being forced into the front seat.

All of the victims were then taken to the clinic for further treatment.

The case is investigated according to Section 43 (1) of the Road Transport Act (APJ) 1987.
