By 2030, one out of five vehicles will be sold globally most likely in China and Europe where market share could rise to 40 percent.

“Every week we see new announcements from OEMs to bring purely EV powertrains earlier (than previously announced)’’ stated founder and executive director at e-Technology, Arnold Lamm.

‘’Most recently it was Mercedes. The trend is going only in one direction. And that is pure electric” he added.

The founder also claims that China is “oversupplied” while Europe and North America are “undersupplied’’ resulting China to export batteries and cells to both Europe and North America.

It predicts the BEV share market of BEV/PHEV sales to increase up to 82 percent in 2025, a rise of 70 percent in 2020, before increasing to 91 percent in 2030 and 95 percent in 2035.
