- Malaysian drivers can submit an online application to convert their licences
In an effort to cut down on waiting periods and transaction times at the Traffic Police (TP) headquarters, holders of Malaysian driver's licences will be able to apply starting on Thursday (July 14) to convert their licences online.
According to the police, they will hear back on the status of their applications within 10 working days.
According to the present procedure, they must bring all required paperwork to the TP offices on Ubi Avenue 3.
The paperwork requirements won't change, and applicants for licence conversions must have completed Singapore's fundamental theory test.
This trial follows the 2019 implementation of the police e-services portal or the Police@SG mobile application, which allowed foreigners to renew and replace their Singaporean driver's licences online.
This form can be used by anyone who wish to convert their Malaysian driver's licence.
