Ahmad Rizal Omar Appointed As New CFO of PLUS

Plus Malaysia Bhd (PLUS) has appointed Ahmad Rizal Omar as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).  In a statement issued earlier today, the highway operator said Ahmad Rizal's experience and financial skills will be crucial to lead PLUS financial standing in a strategic direction.

"Ahmad Rizal’s experience and financial competencies will be key in contributing to PLUS’ post-pandemic recovery and beyond,” said PLUS.

A Chartered Accountant, Ahmad Rizal brings his 24 years of experience in investment valuation and management, corporate finance, and auditing, including working in Turkey, as well various parts of the Asia Pacific region. 

Before taking the role of CFO and head of strategic planning and treasury management at MAHB-owned Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen International Airport in Turkey, he first joined Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) as general manager of financial planning and shared services and MAHB's interim CFO.

Ahmad Rizal had also previously worked as a senior vice president of investments at Khazanah Nasional Bhd.

As for education, Ahmad Rizal earned his Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and his Master of Finance from the University of Cambridge.
