- Yinson GreenTech And Dinamikjaya Motors As EV Leasing Partners
Yinson GreenTech (YGT) has partnered with Dinamikjaya Motors Sdn Bhd (DJM) as electric vehicle (EV) leasing partners.
YGT’s vice president of new ventures, Kelvin Soon, said, “The demand for EVs in Malaysia is expanding rapidly in line with the increasing focus from Government, automotive industry and consumers. We are excited to collaborate with DJM to deliver this high-quality, integrated EV leasing solution to our customers to meet this growing demand as we transition to a greener transportation system.”
The two entities’ new joint venture will offer end-to-end leasing services ranging from electric vans, buses, cars and motorbikes.
More specifically, EV models distributed by DJM such as the Kia EV6 and future Kia EV models will be made available for lease through YGT.
DJM’s director and BAuto’s group chief executive officer, Dato’ Francis Lee, expressed, “DJM, hopes to collaborate with YGT and be one of our leasing partners in providing an alternative mobility solution through this leasing programme. We propose that customers who wish to try out or have short-term specific needs, to opt for this leasing programme as a prelude to full ownership.”
YGT’s EV leasing services include full maintenance and servicing, road tax and insurance renewal, battery-charging management system and digital solutions along with full body wrapping.
Other than that, for selected EV models, they are integrated with Yinson’s user-friendly, smart technology systems.
This is to help companies to monitor, optimize and track their fleet’s performance along with the drivers’ behaviour and also providing the convenience of virtual digital keys.
Additionally, the leasing packages for the EV models also come with complimentary membership across the entire lease period with chargeEV.
Yinson’s executive vice president of technology and new ventures, Eirik Barclay, concluded, “We have found in DJM a partner that shares our vision for a cleaner, more sustainable transportation system in Malaysia and beyond. Only through the establishment of these kinds of collaborations with like minded partners will we be able to realise our goal of electrifying the marine, mobility and energy ecosystem that is affordable and accessible for everyone.”
That said, YGT is the green technologies division of Yinson, and DJM is the distributor of Kia vehicles in Malaysia and a 65% owned subsidiary of Bermaz Auto Berhad (BAuto).
Meanwhile, chargeEV is Malaysia’s largest charging infrastructure network provider with more than 400 charging stations.
