PDRM Traffic Police Issuing Summon

Good news for all Malaysians, Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) is once again offering a discount of up to 50% on summons, but this time in Sarawak.

The announcement was made in a post on Facebook by Jabatan Siasatan dan Penguatkuasaan Trafik (JSPT), PDRM.

It is understood that the discount is offered in conjunction with Sarawak’s state-level Malaysia Day celebration, this coming weekend.

As such, several counters will be opened at the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Office IPD Bintulu for the transactions.

Timing-wise, it will be operational from 16 to 17 September, which is this Friday and Saturday, from 9 AM to 4 PM.

Details Of PDRM’s Discount Offered

According to PDRM, this discount is only applicable to a selection of summons. The following suits are exempted. 

They are, red light summons, accidents, emergency lane usage, modified exhaust, double-line cutting, dangerous overtaking, court hearings and truck related lawsuits.

Other than that, this discount confers to a set of terms and conditions, and covers all traffic summons including throughout Malaysia.

In short, Malaysians are advised to check in advance at any traffic police station about the details of the summons that can be discounted.
