Rolls-Royce unveiled its first fully electric vehicle, a two-door fastback inspired from Phantom Coupe and Ultra Luxury Electric Super Coupe which combines both traditional and modern design elements.

The introduction of the Rolls-Royce Spectre recently marks a new chapter in the company's history, as it confirms that its entire model line-up will be fully electric by 2030.

To begin with, the EV is built on the brand's all-aluminium Architecture of Luxury platform, which also supports the Phantom, Ghost, and Cullinan. Apart from being 30% stiffer than these aforementioned models, it has active suspension and four-wheel steering.

Although the EV is still in the final stages of testing, there are no confirmed details that could entail on the powertrain. However, what we know is that based on preliminary data, it is expected to receive a 100kWh battery pack with a WLTP driving range of 520 km.

Meanwhile, the powertrain is expected to produce 585 hp of maximum power and 900 Nm of peak torque, allowing the EV to accelerate from zero to 100 kmph in 4.5 seconds.

The Spectre appears to be a purebred Rolls Royce, combining the brand's rich heritage with several EV-specific elements which most car brands would adopt a new design language but not RR as they remained consistent.

Also onboard, the EV's front profile features the widest RR grille, which houses 22 LEDs for soft illumination at night, as well as angled fins on top of which it wears a redesigned Spirit of Ecstasy ornament that has been aero-tuned. The iconic RR headlights and sleek daytime running lights are located on the grille's edges.

Rides on 23-inch wheels with a triangular inner design, the RR EV also has rear-hinged doors and vertical headlight elements. Moving inside, the ultra-luxurious Rolls Royce Spectre features an all-white theme with exquisite wood trims and leather upholstery. It can be highly personalised by selecting a theme based on the exterior colour.

The Starlight Headliner under the roof, which also has a dazzling star-like effect on the door panels, is one of the most intriguing interior elements of the electric coupe which comes with Starlight Doors featuring 4,796 LEDs.

Not to mention that the dash ahead of the co-seat driver's features a digital display with the Spectre logo and a star-studded pattern made up of over 5,500 LEDs. Among the other notable features are a fully digital driver's display, new 'Spirit' digital software with connected car technology, and Eleanor, the onboard voice assistant.

The carmaker claims to have Spectre as the most connected Rolls-Royce in history especially in harnessing the power of the vehicle’s remarkable Decentralised Intelligence into the marque’s portfolio represents Rolls-Royce 3.0 and the beginning of the bold new all-electric era.
