Users who are exiting Bukit Jalil or Kuchai Lama are advised to stay on the main route without entering the contra route. The contra-flow is being tested out to create a smoother traffic flow and reduce travel time for all MEX Highway users and it would be implemented from Monday to Friday starting at 7am until 10am except for weekends or public holidays. MEX Highway users are advised to plan their journey when the contra-flow is implemented and are reminded to stay in the right lane to avoid confusion and disruption of traffic flow. While driving supports independence for older people, factors such as slower reaction times and declining vision can affect safety.Malaysian law does not currently set a maximum driving age. Section 30(3) of the Road Transport Act 1987 only requires drivers to ensure they are fit to drive, without addressing the specific risks associated with ageing.
