- Wuling Bingo; A Stylish Electric Hatchback For China
Wuling is entering a new section of the Chinese electric car market. The brand is aiming for the sector right above the hugely successful Wuling Mini EV. This new Wuling Bingo, a stylish hatchback with a rounded shape and some nostalgic characteristics, will lead the push. The wheel covers, in particular, have a throwback feel about them. On its snout is a huge grey Wuling logo. The belt line is as straight as an arrow, and the lower half of the doors have a beautiful chromed strip.
The Bingo is a four-seater vehicle. The steering wheel appears to be huge, with a narrow rim. In front of the driver is a small floating LCD instrument panel.
The Bingo, despite being enormous for a Wuling, is still a little car: 3950/1708/1580, with a 2560 wheelbase and a 2075 kilo curb weight that appears heavy for its size. The engine is positioned in the front. Wuling will provide two power options: 41 and 68 horsepower. Both models have a top speed of 100 km/h. The energy is stored in a lithium iron phosphate battery, although Wuling has not revealed any details on the battery's power or range.
The back is intriguing. The hatchback is designed in the style of a sedan, with a short flat deck and an incorporated spoiler. We need a photo from 3/4 behind to figure out what's going on. The lights are huge, with the third brake light at the bottom of the window.
The new Wuling Bingo will be introduced to the Chinese automobile market in the first half of 2023. The price will be between 80,000 and 120,000 yuan ($11,240 - 16.850). SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGWM) is an automotive manufacturing joint venture between SAIC, General Motors,
