Porsche has recently turned its attention to the non-fungible token (NFT) art market upon collaboration with 3D artist Patrick Vogel as the creator of the car brand’s newest digital art endeavour.

Vogel has developed an astonishing visual language for multiple apps in his studio named ALT/SHIFT which made him the person responsible for designing digital portraits for Porsche that revolve around a white 911.

Porsche's brand presentation in Miami concludes with an astonishing physical art experience. With the real-life installation on the beach by digital artist Chris Labrooy has wow the viewers and surprisingly, it marks the first time Porsche's 'The Art of Dreams' campaign has travelled to America.

The event is amplified when Labrooy includes a white Porsche 911 sports car as a link between digital valuables and the physical world. Chris Labrooy's enormous sculpture of a huge race car driver playing with a real 911 like it's a toy is another highlight of Porsche's Art Basel presentation.

Porsche’s idea was to bring back the nostalgic memories as kids hence the toy scene. The display will last from November 29 to December 3 at the Perez Art Museum Miami so there’s another 2 days to go before it ends.

Before we go further, Porsche did experiment in NFTs in the past, but not in the field of art. The Tribute to Carrera RS Package on the 911 GT3 RS costs $314,000. Among the extras is an NFT programme in which consumers obtain digital badges for attending specified racetracks and official events.

Fast forward to today, Porsche plans to have 7,500 unique NFTs in January 2023 although purchases will be limited to three per person. On top of that, the owner could have the privilege by viewing the car in the virtual world from a rendering in Unreal Engine 5. In terms of concepts, there are three themes from which purchasers can choose for their car such as Lifestyle, Performance, or Heritage.

Deputy Chairman and Member of the Executive Board for Finance and IT, Lutz Meschke highlighted that Porsche's innovation management sees possibilities in the purchasing experience, the metaverse, and the supply chain. Along the route, vehicle and sustainability issues are also being researched.

“The NFT artworks enable us to take our understanding of modern luxury and the unique brand positioning of Porsche into the digital world,” stated Member of the Executive Board for Sales and Marketing, Detlev von Platen.
