ChargePost, a compact battery-based EV charging system that enables ultra-fast charging without the need to extend the existing grid has been recently unveiled by ADS-TEC Energy.

For more info, ChargePost recognizes an all-in-one design that integrates the battery, electronics, cooling system, and charger into a small container that, according to ADS-TEC Energy, requires less than 21.5 square feet (2 square meters) of floor space.

Each 100% German-made ChargePost has two charging points that provide drivers with up to 300 kW DC power with one charging point and 150 kW with two charging points in use at the same time.

Aside from that, it has a variable battery capacity of 143 or 201 kWh. Battery modules can be switched out as needed, extending the charger's lifespan. According to ADS-TEC, charging at ChargePost for more than a 100 km (62-mile) drive takes only five minutes.

CEO ADS-TEC Energy, Thomas Speidel has commented that the solution supports the transition to EV and can accelerate the expansion of charging infrastructure throughout Europe and US.

As of now, ChargePost is available in Germany and Europe, and soon it will be available in the United States.
