Road Tax Sticker Quality Issue To Be Resolved – Anthony Loke

The issue of poor quality road tax stickers will be addressed and rectified beginning this year.
That was the commitment made by Transport Minister Anthony Loke today after meeting with the top management of the Road Transport Department (JPJ). Loke stated that the issue will be resolved and incorporated in the JPJ's plans for this year. "I know a lot of people complain about the low quality of the road tax stickers. That issue is on our radar, and a significant change will be done this year. "Any new efforts will be carefully planned, and I will make an announcement after full preparations have been done," he wrote in a Facebook post. Previously, consumers complained about JPJ road tax stickers that are easily destroyed and glue imprints on vehicle mirrors that are impossible to remove.

In fact, some have suggested that JPJ implement a digital road tax, similar to how the Ministry of Health uses digital vaccination certificates (KKM). Meanwhile, one of the JPJ's primary priorities this year, according to Loke, is to apply digitization in fundamental services to the public, such as car and driver licencing, as well as to increase traffic law enforcement.

"Our main aim is to make things easier for people, and I don't want to see people standing in long lines at offices that make their lives unpleasant," he said.
