JPJ Beefs Up MyJPJ App & Web’s Security Feature Based User Feedback

Following up from the recent introduction of the digital motor vehicle licence (LKM) and drivers licence (LLM), accessible via the MyJPJ App or JPJ web portal, the Road Transport Department (JPJ) further enhanced certain features and user interface based on media and user feedback.

One of the core features enhanced is the addition of a third layer of security where users are now required to key-in the 8-digit number that can be found on the back of their licence when registering to the portal. The initial two layers of security would remain the same, which is the password and verification through the “TAC” code.

The second enhancement listed is the feature to retrieve one's MyJPJ account via the 8-digit ending number on the back of their licence. This feature would help solve the “user registered” issue that many have been facing recently.

The final enhancement is the ability to update users' new email address should they have forgotten or changed to a new email address. To update, users would be required to perform the authentication via the 8-digit security number found at the back of their licence.

JPJ further adds that all in-app or web features are in accordance with the Communications and Digital Ministry (KKD) to ensure users data is safe when accessing JPJ’s application.
