- Alpine Teases New EV Lineup with 7 Models Coming by 2030
French niche automaker Alpine is cooking something big this year. In an attempt to move out of Renault’s shadow, the marque is planning to launch seven new EV models by the end of the decade.
Alpine A290 EV hot-hatch will make its market entry next year
Previewed here is the teaser image that showcases the seven upcoming Alpine EVs, with the only visible part being their illuminated headlights. From that, you can see one of the models being the newly-unveiled Alpine A290. Set to make its market entry next year, this EV hot-hatch will be followed by the all-electric Alpine A110 roadster successor.

More importantly, the next-gen Alpine roadster will be fully-developed in-house by the marque themselves, following the marque’s split with British automaker Lotus. Prior to this, both Alpine and Lotus are partnered to co-develop this lightweight EV roadster as part of their “Dream Garage” project.
Back to the new EV lineup, these two models will be followed by a new electric four-seater coupe that will carry the historic A310 nameplate, as well as an unnamed C-segment SUV crossover. Finally, the new EV lineup will be completed by a set of larger D and E-segmented models, with some of them being a tall-riding EV SUV that will go against the likes of electric Porsche Macan and Cayenne in the future.

All these seven EVs will underpin Alpine’s proprietary EV platform, cordially known as the Alpine Performance Platform (APP). Aside from venturing into BEVs, the marque is also keen to explore other carbon-neutral alternatives such as hydrogen fuel cells in future’s time. All in all, these efforts will help Alpine in fulfilling its global expansion venture, where the brand will enter several new markets, including the US.
Alpine A523 F1 is the marque's Formula One contender for the 2023 season
Helping Alpine to less rely on their Renault overlords and be more self-sustaining, the marque has announced several new partnerships to fund both their new EV lineup project and motorsporting venture. For the latter, one of Alpine’s new partners is Maximum Effort Investments, which is co-founded by renowned Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds. Aside from that, Oltro Capital and RedBird Capital provide support for the marque’s Formula One (F1) outfit.
2024 Alpine A424 Hypercar
Aside from F1, Alpine will also be competing in the 2024 World Endurance Championship (WEC), having recently revealed their LMDh challenger, the Alpine A424_β Hypercar. This endurance race car is powered by a 3.4-litre V6 hybrid mill that delivers a regulation-limited output of 670 HP.
